The exhibition Hungarians in Portuguese Football by the Hungarian Museum of the Olympics and Sport was presented in Portugal in partnership with the Hungarian Embassy in Portugal and the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, through the National Sports Museum, and will be on display in this space from January to May of 2019.
The exhibition showcased the work and successes achieved by Hungarian coaches in Portuguese clubs from the 1920s to the 1960s mainly. It evoked figures that are still in the memory of the Portuguese, such as Bela Guttman, Lajos Baróti and Laszlo Boloni, and others from older times, but who all left their mark on Portuguese football: Mihaly Siska, Lipo Hertzka, Lajos Czeizler, János Biri and Josef Szabo.
