Presentation and access to the online collection
The National Sports Museum's collection has around 18,000 cataloged objects. A part of this catalog is gradually being available online.

The collection consists of a wide variety of objects. We distinguish several groups according to their function or use in the context of the Sports universe:
- Technical equipment used in sports practice and competition environment.
- Objects that serve as evidence of classification in an event such as cups, medals and diplomas.
- Objects that testify to the participation of athletes, teams, referees, officials, supporters, journalists, etc. or associative membership.
- Objects commemorating relevant dates, or intended to honor a club or a person for their birthday or sporting contribution.
- Documents designed to communicate information to the public (posters, leaflets, event programs, periodicals, ...).
- Photographic documents, printed and handwritten, which are records of reality, which testify to the facts of organizations or individuals.
- Objects that represent associative symbols, which testify to the existence of associative entities of sport.
- Objects with a recreational and leisure function, which are meant for playing.
- Consumer objects, resulting from commercial activity around events, as well as various objects with a function directly or indirectly related to the sports phenomenon.
- The artistic expressions of sports themes: drawings, engravings, sculptures, caricatures, decorative objects, etc.
